Dr. Jessica Flack
Dr. Jessica Flack was born and raised in Airdrie, Alberta. She received her Bachelor of Science degree at Saint Mary’s University in Halifax and her Doctor of Optometry degree at Pacific University College of Optometry in Oregon. Along with this, she has always been passionate about early childhood education and the role vision plays in a classroom setting, and therefore pursued a Master of Education in Visual Function in Learning concurrently with her optometry degree.
Throughout her optometric training she’s had the opportunity to provide comprehensive eye care to patient’s at a primary care clinic in Oklahoma, treat various ocular diseases at a Veteran’s Affair hospital in Pennsylvania, perform low vision exams for students at the Washington State School for the Blind and treat traumatic brain injury symptoms to US military personnel in Landstuhl, Germany. She also had the opportunity to participate as a trip leader in a global eye care outreach program to Costa Rica, where she helped provide eye care and glasses to patient’s in need.
Her special clinical interests include binocular vision, ocular disease and low vision. She has been awarded the 2017 Paul Kohl Award for Excellence and Passion in Pediatrics and Binocular Vision, as well as the Eschenbach 2018 Student Award for Excellence in Low Vision. Dr. Jessica Flack is thrilled to be a part of the Jaffery Optical team and is looking forward to providing comprehensive vision care to her patients.
